No Suspects in Saturday Night Homicide in Paterson

HOMICIDE IN THE AREA OF 34 NORTHWEST STREET IN PATERSON

Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Paterson Police Chief Ibrahim Baycora have announced that approximately 9:11 p.m. on Saturday, May 29, members of the Paterson Police Department were dispatched to the area of 160 West Broadway in  response to a report of a shooting.

Upon their arrival, officers located Ravel Trejo, 32-years-old from Paterson, lying on the sidewalk of Northwest Street directly behind 160 West Broadway, with apparent gunshot wounds. Medical personnel were immediately dispatched to the scene and began treating the victim. Mr. Trejo succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased on scene.

The investigation remains active and ongoing. More information will be released once it becomes available.
