Eligible individuals will soon be able to get the COVID-19 vaccine at participating pharmacies across New Jersey. Beginning on Thursday, February 11, 27 CVS pharmacies will begin administering the vaccine throughout the state, including in North Bergen and Hoboken.
Appointments will become available for booking as early as Tuesday, February 9 as stores receive shipments of the vaccine, according to a CVS press release. Approximately 19,900 doses will be available for the limited rollout.
“One of our greatest strengths as a company is our presence in communities across the country, which makes us an ideal partner for administering vaccines in a safe, convenient, and familiar manner,” said Karen S. Lynch, President and Chief Executive Officer, CVS Health.
Patients must meet state criteria, which will be confirmed by the state in advance of the rollout. Those people who do qualify for the vaccine must register in advance at CVS.com or through the CVS Pharmacy app. People without online access can contact CVS customer service: (800) 746-7287.
There will be no walk-in vaccines given without a prior appointment.
