For the first time in three years, the township of North Bergen held an end of the summer, pool party at the municipal swimming complex. The Wednesday night event, with a Hawaiian theme, drew more than 1,200 township residents.
There was so much food with so much variety, you actually felt like you were at a luau on the islands. Many of the local food establishments in town donated to the event.
In addition to the food choices, the swimming pools were open for residents to enjoy.
The annual end of summer event had been postponed in recent years due to the COVID pandemic.
