North Bergen Man Arrested On Drug Offenses In Paramus

Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella has announced the arrest of 48-year old, North Bergen resident, Jose A. Hernandez of 811 Grand Avenue on charges related to the distribution of controlled dangerous substances. The arrest is the result of an investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office.

According to Chief Jason Love, on March 27, 2023, during a narcotics investigation,  Hernandez distributed approximately 15 grams of cocaine to an undercover detective. A search of his vehicle revealed additional, suspected Adderall pills, Oxycodone tablets, and packaging material.

As a result of the investigation, Hernandez was arrested and charged with second-degree distribution of cocaine; third-degree possession with intent to distribute Adderall; and third-degree possession with intent to distribute Oxycodone.  Hernandez was remanded to the Bergen County Jail pending a first appearance in Central Judicial Processing Court in Hackensack.

Prosecutor Musella states that the charges are merely accusations and that the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt, and he would like to thank the Paramus Police Department for its assistance in this investigation.
