Mayor Nicholas Sacco and Parks Commissioner Hugo Cabrera are pleased to announce that the municipal pool will be open to North Bergen residents beginning Saturday, June 26, 2021.
Like last year, when changes were implemented due to the pandemic and health restrictions were put in place to protect the public, there will be no annual memberships. Instead, the township will issue daily passes for individual three-hour sessions:
- 9:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. seniors only (no younger guests); only the lap pool will be open
- 12:45 – 3:45 p.m. open to all ages
- 4 – 7 p.m. open to all ages
For the benefit of older residents, the first session each day will be reserved exclusively for seniors ages 62 and older, and admission to THIS SESSION ONLY is free.
Residents must register in advance using the online pool portal, which is available now. After entering your information you will receive an approval confirmation, which may take a day or two to process.
Once the pool opens, registered users must sign up through the portal for a specific time period. Sign-up will be allowed for sessions within the next 24 hours only. Registration will be allowed for only one session per day. Residents MUST sign up online; no walk-ups will be allowed. Only North Bergen residents will be admitted; NO GUESTS.
The cost is $5 per adult (ages 16+) $4 per child, and $3 per senior for the afternoon and evening sessions (morning is free). Kids under 1 year old are free.
