North Bergen Walmart Closed Today

If you had planned on going shopping today at the Walmart located on Tonnelle Avenue in North Bergen, you won’t be able to because the company has announced the store will be closed for a thorough cleaning and restocking.

The North Bergen store will reopen tomorrow, Saturday, April 18.

A Walmart spokesperson said the cleaning is being done “for the well-being of our associates and customers, and in consideration of guidance by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and health experts.”

The company says when the store reopens tomorrow, employees will be given health screenings and temperature checks, as well as face masks and gloves.

Walmart’s store in Freehold, New Jersey is also closed today for cleaning and restocking.  Last week the store in Garfield underwent the same deep cleaning procedure.

  2. Was there yesterday. They had NO shopping bags at checkout. My car was filled with lose items. I’ve never seen a store run out of bags.

  3. I’m wondering if they had a lot of employees come down with the virus. I know at the Riverdale store when I was there maybe two weeks ago, employees were not wearing masks or gloves and were hanging out together in the aisles. Not good.

  4. Not that it matters went to Secaucus store yesterday and although you have to wear a mask to enter people were taking them off once inside. ???
