NORTH BERGEN — Neighbors on and near Barr Place get a Zoning Board hearing Wednesday on a proposal to replace existing residential use with a 36-unit multifamily building — but the township’s posted agenda is a one-pager that leaves height, parking, and variance details blank.
The North Bergen Zoning Board of Adjustment meets Wednesday, Oct. 7, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. in the Municipal Council Chambers, Ground Floor, 4233 Kennedy Boulevard.
Lead case: 36 units on Barr Place
Case 14-26 — Noor Limmaidi — 9019-9025 Barr Place
- Block 422, Lots 9, 11, and 12.02
- Present use: Residential
- Proposed use: 36-unit multifamily building
That is all the posted agenda states for the application. It does not list building height or stories, parking spaces, unit mix, affordable-housing set-aside, a variance schedule, density math, or a traffic study. Hudson TV is not inventing those figures from other sources for this preview.
Also on Wednesday’s agenda
- Case 13-25 — 9013 Riverside LLC — 9013 Riverside (Block 440, Lot 54): vacant land → construction of a 4-unit residential apartment building.
- Case 15-26 — BAPS Jersey City LLC — 2000 Tonnelle Avenue (Block 27, Lot 38.01): present use Temple; proposed use Temple. The agenda does not describe any expansion, renovation, or site change beyond repeating the temple use.
Any other business that may come before the board is also noticed.
Agenda note (filename vs. content)
The township posted the notice at 2026-10-07-BOA-Minutes.pdf. The filename says “Minutes”; the PDF body is labeled AGENDA and schedules the Oct. 7 meeting. As of Tuesday afternoon, Oct. 6, the file was still live (HTTP 200).
What neighbors can still do
Board hearings typically take public comment on each application after the applicant’s presentation. Residents who want height, parking, or variance details should watch for application packets on file with the board secretary, ask at the hearing, or contact township planning/zoning staff before or at the meeting.

Hudson TV asks: Should the Zoning Board move ahead on the 36-unit Barr Place building with only the unit count on the public agenda — or hold until height, parking, and variance details are posted?
Share your take in the comments — ❤️ Move ahead on what’s posted · 😡 Hold for height/parking/variance details.
