One person was injured early Sunday morning when a vehicle rear-ended another which was stopped at a traffic signal in Weehawken. According to Township Manager Gio Ahmad, Weehawken Police are still compiling their preliminary report and details at this time are limited.
According to Ahmad, the incident took place at 12:22 this morning at the corner of Palisade Avenue and Shippen Street. The driver of the vehicle which was struck was from behind was facing westbound. That driver was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
At this time, the names of those involved and the make and models of the two vehicles have not been released by police. There is no word on what charges, if any, have been issued.
