Orientation Sessions For WNY 9th Graders & Kindergarten Kids

Classes for West New York public school students begin on Friday, September 11th.  On Tuesday morning, incoming 9th graders at Memorial High School and kindergarten youngsters at the Albio Sires School #4 took place.

Memorial High School will welcome approximately 500 incoming freshmen this year, while the Albio Sires PS#4 will see 63 kindergarten students.  Each of West New York’s elementary schools conducts kindergarten classes.

All of the district’s orientation sessions were intended to familiarize the youngsters with their new surroundings.  Along with their parents, students learned about school policies, including arrival times and procedures, the district’s dress code, the different clubs and organizations available at each school and the various school administrations, plus their guidance departments.
