Palisades Medical Center in North Bergen this week administered its 30,000th dose of the coronavirus vaccine. Since the vaccines became available, the hospital has administered all three varieties, the two shot Pfizer and Moderna vaccines, as well as the one shot Johnson & Johnson vaccine.
The Medical Center, which is part of the Hackensack Meridian Health Network, has partnered with surrounding municipalities in both Hudson and southeastern Bergen Counties, busing in senior citizens from the various towns in order to administer the vaccine. They are now ready to start going into the field to administer the shots.
Hudson TV reporter Jeff Henig spoke with the President and Chief Hospital Executive for Palisades Medical Center, Dr. Anthony Passannante, about the success of the hospital’s vaccine distribution with neighboring municipalities, and the advice he has for people who have been vaccinated, and for those who have not gotten the shot.
