Passaic County Prosecutor & Paterson Police Seek Information Following Shooting

PATERSON SHOOTING IN AREA OF NORTH MAIN STREET AND JEFFERSON STREET 

Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Paterson Police Chief Ibrahim Baycora have announced that at approximately 5:47 p.m. on Friday, June 4, 2021, members of the Paterson Police Department were dispatched to the area of North Main Street and Jefferson Street in Paterson, New Jersey on a report of shots fired.

Upon arrival members of the Paterson Police Department located evidence of a crime scene but were unable to locate a victim. A short time later members of the Paterson Police Department were advised that a 21-year-old male Paterson resident arrived at Saint Joseph’s Regional Medical Center in Paterson, New Jersey seeking treatment for a non-fatal gunshot wound.

Based on the initial investigation the victim was walking in the area of North Main Street and Jefferson Street when shot.

The investigation remains active and ongoing. More information will be released once it becomes available.
