SHOOTING IN AREA OF CARROLL STREET AND HARRISON STREET IN PATERSON
Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Paterson Police Chief Ibrahim Baycora announced that at approximately 12:02 a.m. this morning, July 19, 2021, members of the Paterson Police Department were dispatched to the area of Fulton Street and Summer Street in Paterson on a report of shots fired. Upon arrival, police located a potential crime scene in the area of Carroll Street and Harrison Street, but no victim was identified.
A short time later, members of the Paterson Police Department were notified that a 26-year-old male Paterson resident had arrived at Saint Joseph’s University Medical Center seeking treatment for a non-fatal gunshot wound. Based upon the initial investigation, it was determined that the victim was in the area of Carroll Street and Harrison Street when he was shot.
The investigation remains active and ongoing. More information will be released once it becomes available.
