PATH IS ADJUSTING ITS SMARTLINK DISCOUNT STARTING NOVEMBER 1
SINGLE RIDE FARE REMAINS UNCHANGED AT $2.75
SECOND PHASE OF DISCOUNT PLAN SET BY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS IN SEPTEMBER 2019, PART OF BROAD ADJUSTMENT OF PORT AUTHORITY TOLLS, FARES AND FEES
Starting November 1, PATH is adjusting its multi-trip SmartLink discount, with the cost of a 10-, 20- or 40-trip ticket to be set at $2.60 per ride, a 10-cent increase. Single trip rides will continue to be $2.75.
Unlimited passes covering one, seven or 30 days are also changing slightly beginning November. 1. The cost of an unlimited one-day pass will be $10.50, a seven-day pass will cost $36 and a 30-day pass will now be $110. The SmartLink senior discount, available to riders 65 years or older, will remain at $1.25 per trip.
The fare adjustment was approved by the Port Authority Board of Commissioners in September 2019 in support of the agency’s Capital Plan, the first inflation-based increase in Port Authority tolls, fares and fees in more than four years. This is the second phase of the SmartLink discount fare adjustment.
