Police Investigating Fatal Shooting of Radress Wilson of Newark

Newark – Acting Essex County Prosecutor Theodore N. Stephens, II, and Newark Public Safety Director Brian A. O’Hara announced today that the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office Homicide/Major Crimes Task Force, which includes detectives from the Newark Police Department, is investigating the fatal shooting of Radress S. Wilson, 28, of Newark. 

On Sunday, Jan. 9 at approximately 3:51 pm Newark Police officers responded to Stuyvesant Avenue in Newark on a report of shots fired. When the officers arrived, they discovered Wilson’s body in a driveway suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. Emergency medical personnel responded. Wilson was pronounced dead at 4:19 pm at the scene.

At this time no arrests have been made. The investigation is active and ongoing.
