Friday and Saturday Events Scheduled to Proceed as Planned
In light of the unprecedented air quality health advisories affecting New Jersey due to the wildfires in Canada, the New Jersey Democratic State Committee has canceled tonight’s New Jersey Democratic State Committee 2023 Conference Kickoff Dinner. The dinner was to be held at the Hard Rock Hotel in Atlantic City. At this time, the scheduled Friday and Saturday events in East Brunswick and West Orange, respectfully, will go on as planned, and the party will announce any other schedule changes if they arise.
“This was not an easy decision, but we take the health and safety of our community very seriously and do not want to put any of our Conference attendees at any unnecessary risk,” said NJDSC Chairman LeRoy Jones. “We are hopeful that we will be able to hold our planned Friday and Saturday events as they were originally scheduled as the situation improves but we will continue to monitor air quality reports and coordinate with public health officials.”
