Ridgefield: No Parking Along Snow Emergency Routes

The Ridgefield Police Department and Office of Emergency Management remind residents that a significant snow event has been forecasted for the area. The snow is expected to begin this afternoon and continue overnight through Thursday.

Members of the Police Department have been making P.A. announcements along the No Parking-Snow Emergency streets.  Please check the streets near your homes and be aware of those restricted parking areas during snow events.  Orange colored warning notices will be issued to vehicles parked along Snow Emergency Streets to make sure that vehicles are not parked there during the storm.  Vehicles parked in violation during the early stages of the snow storm will be ticketed and towed.

Due to the expected high snowfall, please make an effort to remove all vehicles from Borough streets and park in private driveways to assist the Department of Public Works during plowing and salting operations.

Reminder, please remove snow from all Borough fire hydrants to increase community safety and assist the Fire Department during an emergency situation.

This is good advice not only for Ridgefield residents, but everyone in the Hudson and Bergen County area.
