La caja de botella de medicamentos recetados de la policía de Ridgefield mantiene las drogas fuera de la calle

Residents of Ridgefield are certainly taking advantage of the municipality’s prescription medication drop box, located at 604 Broad Street, to dispose of their unwanted prescription drugs.  Police Chief Tom Gallagher told Hudson TV when the department emptied the drop box recently, it was filled with 46.6 pounds of unwanted medications.

That’s exactly 13 pounds more than when the box was emptied about a month and a half ago.  By removing these drugs, it shows that the town is serious about not allowing the medications to get into the wrong hands.  It also keeps the drugs out of the local water stream.

Chief Gallagher reminds residents that, should they want to dispose of unwanted prescription medications, all they have to do is call the Police Department and they will arrange for an officer to assist you.
