If you plan to drive in and around Hoboken this weekend, be aware that travel time will likely be impacted by construction work. The City of Hoboken and the Hoboken Office of Emergency Management are advising residents of scheduled construction projects that may impact your commute in the City. Drivers are advised to plan ahead and adhere to all parking and detour signs.
Here are the impacted zones:
* Newark Street between Washington Street and Hudson Street will remain closed 24/7 through 5 a.m. on Saturday, July 8, 2023, for a Hudson County roadway restoration project.
* On Tuesday, July 11, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., County roadwork will be done on Newark Street between Hudson and River Streets. No parking will be allowed during construction. Expect traffic detours. Hoboken Police will be on hand to manage traffic flow during construction activities.
* Hudson County will be conducting roadway milling and manhole resetting on 14th Street from Sinatra Drive to Willow Avenue from Monday, July 10 to Friday, July 14 between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. Hoboken Police will be on hand to manage traffic flow during construction activities. No parking will be permitted within these areas during working hours. The 126 NJ Transit bus will operate an alternate route.
