Santa Claus made his way to North Bergen’s James J. Braddock Park to light the township’s Christmas tree on Wednesday night.
The tree lighting came a week late due to bad weather, and although it felt like rain was in the air last night, it held off, allowing for a joyous tree lighting celebration.
The North Bergen High School choir sang holiday songs; cookies, hot chocolate and doughnuts were provided and local officials wished all in attendance a happy holiday season.
This was the sixth year that North Bergen and the County of Hudson held a joint tree lighting ceremony in Braddock Park.
