Secaucus Halts In-Person Learning at its Middle & High School, Suspends Sports After Positive COVID-19 Test

Secaucus Superintendent of Schools Jennifer Montesano informed district parents on Tuesday that, due to a positive COVID-19 test at the High School, all student instruction will be done virtually at both the Middle School and the High School through at least October 20.  In addition, all sports activities, both practices and games, have been suspended until October 22 according to Athletic Director Charles Voorhees.

The district’s two schools are attached in one building campus.

Secaucus is the second Hudson County public school district to postpone athletic activities this week.  Earlier, Bayonne did the same following a positive COVID-19 test result for an assistant coach at the High School.
