Secaucus Police Blotter: October 11 – 17

Secaucus Police Chief Dennis Miller has released the following information with regard to arrests made for the week of October 11:

Secaucus Police Blotter:  10/11/2021-10/17/2021

  • On 10/12/2021 at 5:45 AM, Secaucus Police responded to the Elizabeth Police Department to take into custody a 54 year old male, Shawn Washington of the Bronx, NY for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Secaucus, NJ in the amount of $200.00, 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Aberdeen Township, NJ in the amount of $106.00 and 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Jersey City, NJ in the amount of $100.00 with a 10% option.  Mr. Washington was unable to post bail for the involved warrants and was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail.
  • On 10/14/2021 at 2:40 AM, during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 62 year old male, German Garciarodriguez of Union City, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Union City, NJ in the amount of $1,127.00 with a 10% option, 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Bass River, NJ in the amount of $1,000.00 with a 10% option and 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Union City, NJ in the amount of $69.00 with a 10% option.  Mr. Garciarodriguez was able to post bail for the involved warrants, was issued 3 motor vehicle summonses and was released from police custody.   
  • On 10/15/2021 at 11:23 PM, Officer’s from the NJ State Police responded to Secaucus Police Headquarters to transfer custody of a 30 year old male, Maurice Metz of Newark, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Secaucus, NJ in the amount of $200.00.  Mr. Metz was able to post bail for the involved warrant and was released from police custody.
  • On 10/16/2021 at 3:47 AM, during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 33 year old male, Divine Johnson of Pottstown, PA for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Newark, NJ in the amount of $350.00, 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Newark, NJ in the amount of $350.00 with a 10% option, 1 outstanding NCIC warrant issued out of Pottstown, PA with no bail and 1 outstanding NCIC warrant issued out of the Essex County Sheriff’s Office with no bail.  Mr. Johnson was also charged with Being a Fugitive from Justice [2A:160-10].  Mr. Johnson was issued his complaint warrant along with 2 motor vehicle summonses and he was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail.
  • On 10/16/2021 at 10:08 AM, during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 34 year old male, Ahmed Mostafa of Saddle Brook, NJ for Receiving Stolen Property [2C:20-7A] for operating a vehicle reported stolen out of Saddle Brook, NJ, Possession of CDS believed to be Phencyclidine [2C:35-10A(1)], Being Under the Influence of a CDS believed to be Phencyclidine [2C:35-10B(1)] and Failure to Make Lawful Disposition of CDS [2C:35-10C].  Mr. Mostafa was served his complaint warrant and was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail.
  • On 10/17/2021 at 6:55 PM, Secaucus Police responded to Riverside Station Boulevard on a report of a road rage incident.  During the investigation, the police arrested a 36 year old female, Jennifer Chin of Bayside, NY for Unlawful Possession of a Weapon [2C:39-5D], a small bat, Possession of CDS believed to be Alprazolam [2C:35-10A(1)] and Possession of a Prescription Legend Drug believed to be Lamotrigine, Venlafaxine Hydrochloride and Phentermine Hydrochloride [2C:35-10.5E(2)].  Ms. Chin was issued her complaint summons and was released from police custody.
  • On 10/17/2021 at 7:56 PM, Secaucus Police responded to Blackjack Mulligans located at 146 Front Street on a report of a large fight in progress.  During the investigation, the police arrested a 29 year old male, Richard McKenna of Haskell, NJ for Disorderly Conduct [2C:33-2A(1)] and Obstructing the Administration of Law [2C:29-1A], along with a 52 year old male, Thomas Santiago of Jersey City, NJ for Disorderly Conduct [2C:33-2A(1)], a 24 year old male, Dylan Messier of Totowa, NJ for Disorderly Conduct [2C:33-2A(1)] and a 24 year old male, Tyler Hering of Secaucus, NJ for Disorderly Conduct [2C:33-2A(1)] and Possession of a Weapon for Unlawful Purpose [2C:39-4D], a chair.  Mr. Mckenna, Mr. Santiago, Mr. Messier and Mr. Hering were served their complaint summonses and all parties were released from police custody.      

These charges are merely accusations and the defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
