Secaucus, NJ,– The first week of January 2024 has been a busy period for the Secaucus Police Department, with several arrests made for various offenses, ranging from terroristic threats to shoplifting.

January 1, 2024 – Knife Threat Incident: At 11:03 AM, Secaucus Police were called to the 800 block of 7th Street following a report of a dispute involving a knife. Mario Robiolio, 70, of Secaucus, was arrested for terroristic threats, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, unlawful possession of a weapon, and simple assault by menace. Robiolio was transported to the Hudson County Jail.

January 4, 2024 – Motor Vehicle Crash and Arrest: At 11:29 PM, following a motor vehicle crash on Route 3 East near Plaza Centre, Steven Saldivar, 21, of Union City, was arrested for an outstanding warrant. Saldivar posted bail, received a motor vehicle summons, and was released.

January 4, 2024 – Walmart Shoplifting: At 10:58 PM, police responded to a shoplifting report at Walmart, 400 Park Plaza Drive. Alicia Zalewski, 36, of North Arlington, was arrested for shoplifting and transported to the Hudson County Jail.

January 5, 2024 – Theft Investigation Leads to Arrest: Eddie Maye, 36, of Union, was arrested in connection with a trailer theft at UPS, 493 County Avenue. Maye, who had an outstanding warrant, was released on his own recognizance pending a court date.

January 7, 2024 – Shoplifting at Best Buy: At 7:39 PM, Jonathan Colon, 28, of Newark, and Raymond Lopez, 33, of East Newark, were arrested at Best Buy, 3 Mill Creek Drive, for shoplifting and conspiracy to commit shoplifting. Both were transported to the Hudson County Jail.
