With New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy announcing on Monday that masks will no longer be required in public buildings effective March 7, unless the owner of the establishment continues to require that people wear them, the Secaucus Board of Education will seek parental and teacher input before making a decision with regard to the public school system.
Acting Superintendent of Schools Daniela Riser says the district will begin polling shortly to see what parents and teachers feel should be done.
Riser says the district wants to know what the majority of the school community feels is the best way to go. The Board of Education will discuss the options at it next meeting on February 17, at which time the public can weigh in.
