Second Multi-Alarm Fire In 3 Months Strikes Wade Street In Jersey City

For the second time in three months, Jersey City firefighters responded this morning to a multi-alarm, residential blaze on Wade Street.  Tuesday morning’s two-alarm fire at 86 Wade Street in a two-and-a-half story home injured four people.

The fire broke out at approximately 8:15 am according to city spokeswoman Kimberly Wallace-Scalcione.  It was brought under control by firefighters around 8:50 am.

None of the injuries is considered to be life-threatening.  Residents had to be evacuated from the fire building, as well, as the buildings on either side of the structure.  A small dog was also rescued.

Back on October 11th, a four-alarm fire just down the street from Tuesday’s fire, resulted in nearly 36 residents being displaced from their homes.  Four house were impacted in that fire.
