Hudson County is taking an additional step to protect tenants who have been hit hard financially by the COVID-19 pandemic. Even though there is a moratorium in place on evictions in New Jersey, Hudson County Executive Tom DeGise says a rental assistance program is being created. In order for the program to work as effectively as possible, the County is looking for public input.
A survey has been created for just that purpose. “I urge renters impacted by the COVID19 shutdown to take this survey,” DeGise said. “The more we understand how renters have dealt with their landlords during this crisis, the better we can craft our program to support them.”
