Shooting at Harrison Hampton Inn

The Police Department in Harrison, New Jersey is reporting that on January 18, 2024, it received a 911 call for shots fired in the area of the Speedway Gas Station.  When police arrived at the scene, units canvassed the area, but found nothing.  Police then received information from a neighboring law enforcement agency in regard to the 911 call.

Police say further information revealed that the incident happened at the Hampton Inn Hotel and the victims drove themselves to the hospital for medical attention.

According to a press release from the the Harrison Police Department, “The Detective Bureau processed the crime scene and began their investigation.  The shooter pulled their vehicle up to the victim’s vehicle, a passenger exited the suspect vehicle and fired two shots into the victim’s vehicle; both the driver and the passenger in the victim’s vehicle had gunshot wounds.  The Town of Harrison video surveillance and ALPR cameras (license plate readers) were able to capture images of the vehicle leaving town after the incident.”

The police investigation is continuing, and the Harrison Police Department Detective Bureau has identified the driver of the suspect vehicle and the suspect.
