The Hoboken Police Department is reporting that shots were fired last night in the Mile Square City. According to Detective Lieutenant Danilo Cabrera, at approximately 7:25 PM, police responded to the area of 4th and Adams Streets on a report of shots fired.
Upon their arrival, officers spoke to witnesses and learned that a group of juveniles/young adults were engaged in some type of a dispute with a male who was shirtless. The shirtless male was armed with a knife and was shot at by someone in the group. The shirtless male and the group ran off in different directions.
Police found 40 caliber spent casings and live rounds at the scene, which points to a handgun as the weapon used. At this time, however, no one has been charged for this incident and no victim has come forward. Carbera says police have no reason to believe that anyone was shot.
