Some Veterans Day Observances in Hudson County

There will be several Veterans Day observances in Hudson County tomorrow. Among the observances are:

East Newark:

The Borough will conduct a ceremony honoring its veterans tomorrow night beginning at 6:30.  The event, hosted by Mayor Dina Grillo and the Municipal Council, will be held at 34 Sherman Avenue.


The annual observance in Guttenberg begins at 9 am in Monument Park, located at Boulevard East and 70th Street.  Please remember to wear a mask and observe social distancing.


Harrison Post No. 282 American Legion & Sgt. William Sawelson. VFW Post 340 invite the community to Wednesday’s Veterans Day observance.  The event begins at 11 am with a service taking place at Roosevelt Park – Veteran’s Plaza.


The Hoboken American Legion Post 107 invites members of the community to the City’s annual Veterans Day Memorial Service, taking place on Wednesday, November 11th at 11:00am at Elysian Park. The event will include a wreath laying ceremony. Face masks are required to attend the ceremony and social distancing regulations will be in effect.

North Bergen:

Mayor Nicholas Sacco and the Board of Commissioners invite residents to attend tomorrow’s Veterans Day ceremony, beginning at 11 a, at the Recreation Center, located at 6300 Meadowview Avenue.  Masks are mandatory.  Social distancing will be observed.

Union City:

Annual ceremony will begin at 9 am at War Memorial Plaza, located at Park Avenue and 46th Street.
