For more than four decades, Brian Stack has been giving out turkeys for the holiday season. This year his Civic Association will distribute more than 35,000 for families in need across Hudson County.
For the past two weekends, approximately 1,100 volunteers packed and distributed the turkeys for delivery. The Union City police garage on Kerrigan Avenue was a well oiled machine. An assembly line of community service by people who care.

In addition to the turkeys, the Civic Association will be distributing pies beginning on Monday, and holidays meals will be served around the county in senior citizen buildings.

Mayor Stack says appreciates all of the volunteers’ hard work and commitment to the cause of bringing a little extra joy to those families who need a bit of assistance in order to make their holiday season the best it can possibly be.
