North Bergen Mayor Nicholas Sacco and his re-election ticket has received two, major local endorsements in his bid to retain leadership of Town Hall.
Citing “his proven track record of supporting education,” the North Bergen Education Association (NBEA) and the North Bergen Council of Administrators and Supervisors Association (NBCASA) have announced their endorsements of incumbent Mayor Nicholas Sacco and his running mates Hugo Cabrera, Allen Pascual, Claudia Rodriguez, and Anthony Vainieri in the upcoming election on May 9. The endorsements come after careful consideration and evaluation of the Sacco Team’s record and education policies.
“Under Mayor Sacco’s guidance, the North Bergen School District has witnessed remarkable enhancements in academic performance, facilities, and resources, and he has spearheaded initiatives at both local and state levels to help students from diverse backgrounds flourish. Mayor Sacco’s proven track record of supporting and improving the educational environment in our community is a testament to his unwavering dedication to the future achievements of our children and we are proud to encourage all NBEA members to vote Column B on May 9!” said NBEA Representative and NBCASA member Shareen Shibli in confirming their endorsement.
“As someone who spent my career as an educator, I am extremely honored to have received the endorsements of both the NBEA and the NBCASA,” said Mayor Sacco. “My team and I will work tirelessly to address the challenges facing our schools and provide the necessary support to the students, parents, and teachers of our community.”
The North Bergen Education Association and the North Bergen Council of Administrators and Supervisors Association are unions that represent the teachers, administrators, custodians, security guards and attendance officers of North Bergen’s schools. They are dedicated to promoting high-quality education and advocating for the needs of their educators.
The Sacco slate is looking to stave off a third challenge from Larry Wainstein and his running mates.
