Teaneck Man Charged with Sexual Assault and Child Endangerment

TEANECK, NJ – Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced the arrest of 62-year-old Marc S. Green of Teaneck, NJ, on charges of sexual assault and endangering the welfare of a child. The arrest stems from an investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office, under the direction of Chief Matthew Finck, and the Garfield Police Department, led by Officer in Charge Joseph Delaney.

The investigation began on Wednesday, March 10, 2025, when the Garfield Police Department contacted the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit regarding an alleged sexual assault of three juvenile students. The incident reportedly occurred on March 18, 2025, at the Bergen Arts & Science Charter School in Garfield, NJ. An investigation by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office and the Garfield Police Department revealed that Green, acting as a certified substitute teacher, committed acts of sexual assault and endangered the welfare of three children.

On Thursday, March 20, 2025, Green was arrested in Paramus, NJ, and charged with five counts of second-degree sexual assault by sexual contact, one count of second-degree endangering the welfare of a child under N.J.S.A. 2C:24-4a(1), and three counts of second-degree endangering the welfare of a child under N.J.S.A. 2C:24-4a(1). He was remanded to the Bergen County Jail in Hackensack, NJ, pending a first appearance in Bergen County Superior Court.
