Police officers from throughout Hudson County participated in this morning’s, 37th annual, Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics New Jersey.  Officers could be seen running through the streets of numerous municipalities.

In total, the torch will make its way through 750 towns, proving that the “Flame of Hope” is alive and well in the Garden State.”

Due to the COVID pandemic, the event was postponed from the summer until today.  The attached video shows Union City Police running with the torch, having taken it from West New York Police at 49th Street and Bergenline Avenue.  The. UCPD ultimately handed the torch over to Jersey City Police at 5th Street and Kennedy Boulevard.
