The West New York Board of Education election is Tuesday, April 19. The filing deadline for candidates seeking a Trustee seat was yesterday. The “Today’s Children, Tomorrow’s Future” ticket handed in their nominating petitions at the Board of Education office.
The slate of candidates consists of Vipul Parekh Dorinne Auriemma and Jose Valdes. They are challenging three incumbent candidates who filed for re-election on Thursday; Jonathan Castaneda, Ana Sanchez and Douglas Velasquez.
The polls will be open from 2 pm until 8 pm.
