Republican Donald Trump has become only the second person aside from Grover Cleveland to be re-elected President after being voted out of office.  Numerous media outlets this morning, including CNN and the Associated Press, NBC and the New York Times, have Trump winning Pennsylvania to secure the race over Vice President Kamala Harris.

Trump, as of 7 am, depending on the source, has 276 or 277 Electoral Votes compared to Harris’ 223 or 224.  270 are needed to win.

Considering what happened on January 6, 2021, this has to be considered the greatest and most unlikely political comeback in American history.

One telling factor in the race was the fact that Vice President Harris did not do better than Joe Biden did in 2020 anywhere in the United States.  Another key factor was Trump making major inroads among African American and Latino men.

Republicans will also retake control of the United States Senate, something which had been widely predicted prior to the election. The GOP has regained control of three seats, giving them 52, with six seats still undecided.

As for the United States House of Representatives, Republicans currently have 204 seats, with 218 needed to control the House.  There are 49 seats still undecided, so control of the lower House is still undetermined.
