UCBOE Unveils Two Mini Soccer Fields

With soccer bursting at the seams in Union City among kids, the Union City Board of Education, in partnership with the US Soccer Foundation, has constructed two, mini soccer fields at the Edison and Washington Schools.

The fields cost $35,000 each.  The featuring a soft, padded surface for safety as well as lighting so games can be played in the evening.

The one located at the Edison School is in the parking lot in front of the Bruce Walter Recreation Center.

School and city officials say additional mini soccer fields may be constructed at additional locations throughout the city.
