UCHS Performing Arts Academy Holds Showcase

More than 100 Union City High School students enrolled in the Performing Arts Academy put on a public, yearend showcase on Thursday evening.

The event brought together all the disciplines; vocal, dance, painting and drawing, plus acting, allowing the public to see the types of study the students have been involved with throughout the school year.

It’s an event the school has been staging for years.

Many of the students enrolled in the Performing Arts Academy continue their artistic studies in college, while a good portion become professionals.

The students prepared for the showcase for several months, with some professional singers and dancers visting them in their classes throughout the course of the school year.
