The Union City Board of Education has announced that three of the city’s schools are now open for use as warming centers for any residents looking to get out of the cold. Masks and social distancing rules will be enforced.
The following schools are open as warming centers:
- Union City High School at 2500 Kennedy Boulevard
- Colin Powell Elementary School at 1500 New York Avenue
- Jose Marti STEM Academy at 1800 Summit Avenue
Also open as warming centers in Union City are 3700 Palisade Avenue and the Bruce Walter Recreation Center downtown on West Street, next to the Edison School.
