Before this past week’s devastating fires in Union City, the community had arranged for the victim’s of mid-February’s fire to receive additional clothing which has been collected non-stop over the past two months. The families received the clothes on Sunday during a distribution held at the William Musto Cultural Center on 15th Street.

Victims of Union City’s two fires last week also received clothing donations from Sunday’s distribution. Clothing ranged from men’s and women’s adult sizes, to children’s clothes. there was winter and summer clothing in a wide range of sizes. Many of the items were donated by local residents, but much of it came from local businesses and clothing drives set up by the Union City Police and Fire Departments.

Mayor Brian Stack thanked all of those who have donated clothes for the victims of the city’s tragic fires, as well as the volunteers who helped to organize the distribution under the direction of the city’s Special Events Coordinator Liliana Barrera.
