According to a complaint filed in Union City Municipal Court, Renzo D. Carhuanini of 500 New York Avenue in Union City, faces five criminal charges after he broke the windshield of a car with occupants, including a child, inside.
The 46-year old Carhuanini was arrested on July 17, 2022 after he broke the car windshield with a hammer, then threatened the occupant with the weapon, who is described as an acquaintance in the complaint.
The charges against Carhuanini are:
- Criminal Mischief
- Possession of a Weapon
- Aggravated Assault
- Endangering a Child
- Terroristic Threats
No reason was given for the attack. No date was made available for Carhuanini’s first appearance in Hudson County Superior Court.
No injuries resulted from the attack on the car.
