Union City man arrested for Theft of Package in Hoboken

Incident Detail: On 02/14/20, at 12:02 PM, Officer Nathanial Arocho and Officer Roberto Cuevas were dispatched to 1200 block of Hudson Street on a reported package theft. A female caller stated she observed a male, she did not recognize, enter her building as she exited. The female caller then stated moments later she observed the same male exit with a garbage bag that appeared to be full. The female called for police and followed the male for several blocks. She provided a description of the male and direction of travel. At about 12:25 PM, Officer Anthony Olivera and P.O. Frank Francolino stopped a male fitting the description in the area of 800 Jackson Street and conducted an investigation. The investigation identified the male as Dominic Marino from Union City, NJ. The investigation also led to charging Marino for Burglary, Burglar Tools and Theft of packages from the residential building located on the 1200 block of Hudson Street. Marino’s charges were placed on a warrant and he was transported to the Hudson County Jail. Marino also had two warrants for his arrest.

Defendant is innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
