With a major snowstorm headed toward Hudson County this weekend, Hudson TV stopped by the Union City Department of Public Works on Friday afternoon to see how preparations for the weather event were progressing.
A minimum of between six and twelve inches is expected to hit Union City beginning sometime after midnight on Sunday morning and continuing through Monday morning’s rush hour.
The Union City DPW is fully prepared. All of its trucks and snowplows have been checked to make sure no breakdowns occur.
Residents are advised to stay off of the streets, if at all possible, so the DPW plows can do their job effectively and in a timely manner.
