On a very windy afternoon, the Union City Board of Commissioners celebrated St. Patrick’s Day on Friday by raising the Irish flag at International Plaza across from City Hall.
Proclamations were given to two, local teachers who were named Irish Man and Woman of the Year. Receiving proclamations were Jennifer Mullaly, a 4th grade math and science teacher at Colin Powell School, and Erick Licamara, a 3rd through 5th grade instructional math coach at the Colin Powell and Jefferson Schools.
Congratulations go out to both recipients. And as Commissioner Valdivia said, let’s all have some corned beef on Sunday.
