On a sunny May afternoon, hundreds of Union City residents gathered at Ellsworth Park on 22nd Street for an Earth Day plant giveaway.
The event has become an annual tradition for Union City’s Board of Commissioners and Mayor Brian Stack. They want residents to beautify their own properties, so giving away plants is a way to help them get started.
in addition to the plant giveaway, Saturday’s event featured bouncy houses for the kids to keep them entertained while their parents picked up plants for planting.
All in all, everyone who attended this Earth Day event had a wonderful time.
