Union City to Host Citizenship Workshop with Fee Waiver Assistance

Union City is taking a significant step to assist its residents on their path to citizenship. Led by Mayor Brian P. Stack and the Board of Commissioners, the city is hosting a Free Citizenship Workshop with Fee Waiver Assistance.

Event Details

The workshop is scheduled for Thursday, October 19, from 5:30-8:30 pm at the Jose Marti STEM Academy located at 1800 Summit Ave, Union City. The event is being organized in conjunction with the Union City Board of Education, Superintendent Silvia Abbato, and Director of Community Relations Mercedes Joaquin.

What to Bring

Participants are advised to bring the following:

  • Green Card
  • Social Security Number
  • List of travel for the past 5 years
  • List of addresses for the past 5 years
  • List of employment for the past 5 years
  • Children’s information, if any
  • Marriage history
  • $725 money order payable to the U.S. Department of Homeland Security
  • Two passport-size pictures (2×2)

Fee Waiver Assistance

For those applying for a fee waiver, proof of low income is required.
