A 31-year-old Union city woman has been charged with burglary and theft for stealing an unattended uber-eats vehicle at Mc Donalds in Hoboken, police says.
According to the report, on February 2, 2020, around 3.47am Hoboken Police responded to the McDonalds located at 234 Washington street on a reported stolen vehicle. Police met up with the victim who left his vehicle running and unoccupied when he entered McDonalds to pick up an order. While waiting for the order, the victim saw an unknown female with blond hair entering his vehicle and fled south on washington st. The vehicle was found in the area of 15th and Kennedy Boulevard with the keys in the ignition.
On 02/05/20 Det. Adam Colon, through his investigation, was able to charge Diana Penaherrera with Burglary and Theft of Movable Property. Penaherrera’s charges were placed on a summons with a court date to appear in Central Judicial Processing in Hudson County Court House.
Penaherrera was also issued a motor vehicle summons for Operating a Motor Vehicle with a Suspended Licenses.
The victim of the motor vehicle theft was issued a summons for leaving his vehicle running and unoccupied.
