Union City’s Washington School celebrated Hispanic Heritage Month and Breast Cancer Awareness during a Wednesday morning event .
The event was held with parents in attendance, as students performed cultural dance routines and held a parade of national flags around the gymnasium.
In addition, the event featured information on breast cancer awareness, with Hoboken Family Planning in attendance providing important details on mammographies, contraceptive options and reproductive health care.
In all, 65 students participated in the celebration.
