Thursday’s game once again featured an excellent pitching performance by senior Savanna McHale, as Whippany Park never advanced a baserunner beyond second base.

Weehawken opened the scoring in the bottom of the first inning, as first baseman Brooke McHale knocked in the first run with a base hit.  The Indians extended their lead to 2-0, as Eva Shevlin got a hit to knock in a run in the second inning.

Weehawken’s final run of the game came on a wild pitch.

The Indians currently sport a season record of 28-1.  Having already won their second, consecutive Hudson County Softball Championship, Weehawken will now face #3 seed Brearley High on Saturday at either 12-noon or 1 pm, at home in Weehawken.

Should they win, they will capture their second NJSIAA Section 2, Group 1 title in a row.

Admission to Saturday’s game is free.  Come out and support the girls and Coach Raquel Roder as they try to bring home another championship for the High School.
