The township of Weehawken celebrated the holiday season with their 30th annual Christmas Tree lighting ceremony at Town Hall on Park Avenue Sunday night, without the interference of the pesky squirrels who chewed through the electrical lines during the ceremony 2 years ago.
Music was performed by both the Weehawken High School Marching Band and the Roosevelt School Chorus before the tree was lit after a countdown.
The night ended with cookies being handed out to the children present along with an encore from the Weehawken High Marching Band.
