Weehawken High School history teacher Ane Roseborough-Eberhard is seeking the Democratic nomination for the 8th Congressional District seat being vacated by Rep. Albio Sires in the upcoming June Primary.
Roseborough-Eberhard has been a member of the New Jersey Amistad Commission since 2018. The Commission was created ensure Black History was taught as part of the public school curriculum in the State of New Jersey. Roseborough-Eberhard believes in free, post-high school education for all, as well as more recreational opportunities for kids and the creation of a Secretary of Culture. She spoke with Jeff Henig about her campaign.
Roseborough-Eberhard is facing several opponents in the upcoming Democratic Primary, the most notable being Rob Menendez, Jr. who has the backing of all three, County Democratic Chairpersons in the District, which covers parts of Hudson, Union and Essex Counties.
