Weekly Secaucus Police Blotter

  1. On 08/10/2020 at 1:55AM, during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 23 year old male, Yoofi Korsah-Brown of Irvington, NJ for Possession of CDS believed to be Marijuana [2C:35-10A(4)].  Mr. Korsah-Brown was issued his complaint summons along with 2 motor vehicle summonses and was released from police custody.
  2. On 08/11/2020 at 12:02 AM, during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 21 year old female, Vanessa Benavidez of Fairview, NJ for Possession of CDS believed to be Ecstasy [2C:35-10A(1)], Resisting Arrest [2C:29-2A(1)], Unlawful Possession of a Weapon [2C:39-5D], Possession of CDS believed to be Marijuana [2C:35-10A(4)] and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia [2C:36-2].  The police also arrested a 17 year old juvenile male of North Bergen, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Jersey City, NJ in the amount of $100.00.  The juvenile male was able to post bail for the involved warrant and was issued into the custody of his parent.  Ms. Benavidez was issued her complaint summons along with 4 motor vehicle summonses and was released from police custody.
  3.  On 08/11/2020 at 2:04 PM, Secaucus Police responded to Walmart located at 400 Park Plaza Drive on a report of a shoplifting.  During the investigation, the police arrested a 41 year old female, Jamie Sams of Troy, NY for Possession with intent to Distribute CDS believed to be K2 [2C:35-5.3B(B)], Possession of CDS believed to be K2 [2C:35-5.3C(B)], Possession with intent to Distribute CDS believed to be K2 within 1000 feet of School Property [2C:35-7A], Money Laundering [2C:21-25A], Possession of CDS believed to be Marijuana [2C:35-10A(4)] and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia [2C:36-2].  Ms. Sams was also found to have 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Paramus, NJ in the amount of $500.00.  Ms. Sams was issued her complaint warrant along with 10 motor vehicle summonses and was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail.
  4. On 08/11/2020 at 6:39 PM, Secaucus Police responded to Walmart located at 400 Park Plaza Drive on a report of a shoplifting.  During the investigation, the police arrested a 17 year old female from Newark, NJ and another 17 year old female from Newark, NJ for Shoplifting [2C:20-11B].  Both juvenile females were subsequently released into the custody of a parent.
  5. On 08/11/2020 at 8:18 PM, Secaucus Police responded to UPS located at 493 County Avenue on a report of a theft.  During the investigation, the police arrested a 32 year old female, Kendra Johnson of East Orange, NJ for Possession of CDS believed to be Heroin [2C:35-10A(1)].  Ms. Johnson was found to have a warrant from Paramus in the amount of $658.00. Ms. Johnson was able to post bail for the involved warrant, was served her complaint summons and was released from police custody.
  6. On 08/12/2020 at 3:09 AM, Secaucus Police observed a suspicious vehicle in the parking lot of the Rodeway Inn located at 155 Route 3 East.  During the investigation, the police arrested a 25 year old male, Kemar Thompson of Newark, NJ along with a 25 year old male, Amir Pulliam of Newark, NJ for Possession of CDS believed to be Marijuana [2C:35-10A(4)].  Mr. Thompson was also found to have 1 outstanding NCIC warrant issued out of Newark, NJ with no bail along with 4 other outstanding warrants issued out of Newark, NJ in the amount of $1,500.00.  Mr. Pulliam was served his complaint summons and was released from police custody.  Mr. Thompson was served his complaint warrant and was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail.
  7. On 08/12/2020 at 6:17 PM, Secaucus Police responded to Walmart located at 400 Park Plaza Drive on a report of a shoplifting.  During the investigation, the police arrested a 35 year old female, Shakeena Hartfield of New York, NY along with a 28 year old female, Monessa Samuels of the Bronx, NY and a 59 year old female, Annie Barnhill of the Bronx, NY for Shoplifting [2C:20-11B(5)] and Conspiracy [2C:5-2A(1)].  Ms. Hartfield, Ms. Samuels and Ms. Barnhill were served their complaint summonses and were released from police custody.
  8. On 08/13/2020 at 12:18 AM, during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 31 year old male, Stephon Torres of Secaucus, NJ for Possession of CDS believed to be Marijuana.  Mr. Torres was served his complaint summons along with 1 motor vehicle summons and was released from police custody.         
  9. On 08/14/2020 at 1:48 AM, during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 22 year old male, Christopher Conte of Totowa, NJ for Driving While Intoxicated [39:4-50].  Mr. Conte was issued his motor vehicle summons for Driving While Intoxicated along with 2 additional motor vehicle summonses and was released into the custody of a responsible adult.
  10. On 08/14/2020 at 9:00 PM, Secaucus Police responded to the NJ State Police Headquarters in Totowa, NJ to take into custody a 42 year old male, Santiago Villegasenriquez of Harrison, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Secaucus, NJ in the amount of $500.00 with a 10% option.  Mr. Villegasenriquez was also found to have 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Union, NJ in the amount of $250.00 with a 10% option.  Mr. Villegasenriquez was able to post bail for both involved warrants and was subsequently released from police custody.
  11. On 08/14/2020 at 8:27 PM, during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested an 18 year old male, Justin Mastropietro of Secaucus, NJ for Possession of Alcohol under the Legal Age [2C:33-15A].  Mr. Mastropietro was served his complaint summons and was released from police custody.
  12. On 08/15/2020 at 12:44 AM, Secaucus Police observed a suspicious vehicle parked in the area of 55 Metro Way.  During the investigation, the police arrested a 23 year old male, Jose Beltre-Soba from Jersey City, NJ for Possession of CDS believed to be Marijuana [2C:35-10A(4)] and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia [2C:36-2].  Mr. Beltre-Soba was issued his complaint summons along with 2 motor vehicle summonses and was released from police custody.
  13. On 08/15/2020 at 9:19 AM, during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 35 year old male, Gilmar Marquez-Hernandez of Union City, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Washington Township, NJ in the amount of $500.00.  Mr. Marquez-Hernandez was able to post bail for the involved warrant, was issued 3 motor vehicle summonses and was released from police custody.
  14. On 08/16/2020 at 2:55 PM, during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 43 year old male, Maciej Maros of New York, NY for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Weehawken, NJ in the amount of $280.00.  Mr. Maros was able to post bail for the involved warrant, was issued 2 motor vehicle summonses and was released from police custody.
  15. On 08/16/2020 at 7:06 PM, Secaucus Police responded to the parking lot of Walmart located at 400 Park Plaza Drive on a report of a fight occurring with an assault with a knife.  During the investigation, the police arrested a 24 year old male, Annthony Ramos of Astoria, NY for Aggravated Assault [2C:12-1B(1)] and Possession of a Weapon for Unlawful Purpose [2C:39-4D].  Mr. Ramos was served his complaint warrant and was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail.
  16. On 08/16/2020 at 11:00 PM, Secaucus Police observed a suspicious vehicle parked in the area of Millcreek Point.  During the investigation, the police arrested a 23 year old male, Kevin Gomez-Zerpa of Union City, NJ for Possession with Intent to Distribute CDS believed to be Marijuana [2C:35-5B(12)], Possession with Intent to Distribute CDS believed to be Marijuana within 500 feet of a Public Park [2C:35-7.1A], Possession of CDS believed to be Marijuana [2C:35-10A(4)] and Possession with Intent to Distribute Drug Paraphernalia [2C:36-3]  Mr. Gomez-Zerpa was issued his complaint summons along with 1 motor vehicle summons and 1 Town Ordinance Summons for Being an Unauthorized Vehicle in a Park after Closing Hours [TO:97-8c] and was released from police custody.       

These charges are merely accusations and the defendants is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
